Something not right with your board?
Find help by symptom
Whose ground is it?
Private land, with permission
Questions riders ask
Is the kart allowed anywhere public?
No. With the board in the seat, the law still counts it as a powered transporter, so nothing changes: private land, once the owner consents, and never roads, parks, pavements or cycle lanes.
What are the age and weight guidelines?
For the board, the manufacturer advises from around 8, with adult supervision, and a rider weight of no more than 120 kg.
Why choose the seat with suspension?
Its springs cushion the seat, so rough patches feel more comfortable and the wheels grip better. On mostly smooth ground the gain is smaller.
Can you drift in the kart?
Yes, from the seat you can let the board slide round turns. Do it only on open private land with plenty of room, and keep other people well clear.
What upkeep does it need?
Not much: keep the wheels and frame free of dirt, fully charge the battery before you ride and look for wear from time to time. Before a long break, read our winter storage guide.
How do you steer when seated?
With your hands rather than your feet. You sit on the frame with the board underneath: one lever makes one wheel go faster, the other slows the opposite wheel, and that is how you change direction.
Can the board still be ridden standing?
Yes. Loosen the straps, lift the board clear of the frame and it is a standing hoverboard again; the seat goes back on whenever you want to sit.
Will the frame fit an adult?
It adjusts from child to adult size. The supplier has yet to give a seated weight limit, so for a heavier rider, ask us first.

Your board's own charger, from its box, is the only one to use. A charger built for a different battery can start a fire; if yours is lost or damaged, ask us before you buy a new one. Plug it straight into a wall socket and do not use a travel adaptor.
Charging at home
- Where: indoors, in a dry room at normal room temperature, on tiles, stone or concrete, with nothing that can burn close by.
- Not in a hallway, on the stairs or by the front door: escape routes stay clear.
- When: only when the pack is no longer warm from the ride, and only while you are in and awake. No overnight charging.
- Done: unplug the charger. Never cover the board or the charger.
Stop and contact us
Warning signs: the pack bulges, feels hot to the touch, leaks, smells of chemicals, fizzes, crackles or smokes. Stop, unplug, move away from it and contact us. A damaged battery is never ridden or charged again.
Fire: leave the building with everyone else and phone 999 from outside; putting it out is a job for the fire service.
Recycling
Household bins, including the recycling bin, are the wrong place for this board, its pack or its charger. Anything with a lithium-ion pack inside has to be handed in separately.
Recycling the board and battery
Sending a battery product back
Lithium-ion batteries are dangerous goods in transport. Talk to us before you return anything that has one, and we will book a carrier that accepts it. If a battery looks damaged, has swollen, leaks or has got too hot, do not post it: message us first and wait for our instructions.
Riding rules in Great Britain
With the Hoverkart seat fitted, the law still sees a powered transporter. Private land only, if the owner agrees: never on a public road or pavement, never in cycle lanes, car parks, playgrounds or parks, and nowhere open to the public.
Kit for each rider, each time: a helmet first, then guards on both wrists, elbows and knees. Children only ride while an adult supervises them the whole time.
Board alone: recommended age from around 8, with adult supervision, for riders up to 120 kg. With the seat on: [TO CONFIRM: weight limit and minimum age with the seat on]
