Description

A colourful board and a comfortable kart: this set combines a 6.5-inch hoverboard in the Hip Hop print with a Hoverkart with Suspension, a go-kart seat for hoverboards. Once the board sits in the kart, the suspension makes the ride more pleasant. Want to stand instead? Then you simply ride the board by itself.

Key features

  • 700 W motor that accelerates briskly
  • 6.5-inch wheels: steady under your feet, easy to steer
  • LED lights and a Bluetooth speaker for music
  • Anti-slip footpads for grip
  • Hoverkart with Suspension: more comfort on the seated ride

Where you can ride it

Private land only, with the landowner's permission.

Ride it on private land, with the landowner's permission. Not on roads, pavements, cycle lanes or in parks.

Fitted to a hoverboard, the kart may only be used on private land, with the landowner's permission.

Wear a helmet and wrist, knee and elbow guards. Age guidance for the board ridden standing: from around 8, with adult supervision.

Questions riders ask

What does the set contain?

A 6.5-inch hoverboard with the Hip Hop print, plus a Hoverkart with Suspension: the go-kart seat for hoverboards that has built-in suspension.

How does the suspension help?

It adds comfort when you sit in the kart. On the board alone, ridden standing, the kart is not used.

How does the hoverboard react to my movements?

It reads your balance. With gyroscope sensors and the motor keeping it level, leaning forward takes you forward, leaning back slows you or takes you backwards, and weight on one foot makes it turn.

Does the set work on grass?

The board has 6.5-inch wheels, not off-road tyres. For grass, sand and unpaved ground, pick the Off-Road Hoverboard: it rides on 8.5-inch off-road tyres and is sold alone or in sets with a Hoverkart. On any surface: private land, with the landowner's permission.

What care does the set need?

Keep wheels and frame clean, check board and kart for wear or loose parts from time to time, and ride on a full battery. For charging, use the charger that belongs to this board, on a hard, dry surface, with you close by.

How do you steer when seated?

With your hands rather than your feet. You sit on the frame with the board underneath: one lever makes one wheel go faster, the other slows the opposite wheel, and that is how you change direction.

Can the board still be ridden standing?

Yes. Loosen the straps, lift the board clear of the frame and it is a standing hoverboard again; the seat goes back on whenever you want to sit.

Will the frame fit an adult?

It adjusts from child to adult size. The supplier has yet to give a seated weight limit, so for a heavier rider, ask us first.

Charger and plug

UK 3-pin (BS 1363), fused
Charger model
[TO CONFIRM: charger model number]

Your board's own charger, from its box, is the only one to use. A charger built for a different battery can start a fire; if yours is lost or damaged, ask us before you buy a new one. Plug it straight into a wall socket and do not use a travel adaptor.

Charging at home

  • Where: indoors, in a dry room at normal room temperature, on tiles, stone or concrete, with nothing that can burn close by.
  • Not in a hallway, on the stairs or by the front door: escape routes stay clear.
  • When: only when the pack is no longer warm from the ride, and only while you are in and awake. No overnight charging.
  • Done: unplug the charger. Never cover the board or the charger.

Stop and contact us

Warning signs: the pack bulges, feels hot to the touch, leaks, smells of chemicals, fizzes, crackles or smokes. Stop, unplug, move away from it and contact us. A damaged battery is never ridden or charged again.

Fire: leave the building with everyone else and phone 999 from outside; putting it out is a job for the fire service.

Recycling

Household bins, including the recycling bin, are the wrong place for this board, its pack or its charger. Anything with a lithium-ion pack inside has to be handed in separately.

Recycling the board and battery

Sending a battery product back

Lithium-ion batteries are dangerous goods in transport. Talk to us before you return anything that has one, and we will book a carrier that accepts it. If a battery looks damaged, has swollen, leaks or has got too hot, do not post it: message us first and wait for our instructions.

Riding rules in Great Britain

With the Hoverkart seat fitted, the law still sees a powered transporter. Private land only, if the owner agrees: never on a public road or pavement, never in cycle lanes, car parks, playgrounds or parks, and nowhere open to the public.

Kit for each rider, each time: a helmet first, then guards on both wrists, elbows and knees. Children only ride while an adult supervises them the whole time.

Board alone: recommended age from around 8, with adult supervision, for riders up to 100 kg. With the seat on: [TO CONFIRM: weight limit and minimum age with the seat on]
